The House of Representatives has released the Order Paper for its plenary session on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, outlining key legislative items to be considered as part of its commitment to openness and participatory governance.
According to a statement signed by the House Spokesman, Rep. Akin Rotimi Jr., the day’s sitting will feature a delegation from the Lagos State Office of Political, Legislative and Civic Engagement, which will observe proceedings at the Green Chamber.
A total of twenty-six bills are scheduled for first reading, covering a wide range of sectors including healthcare, education, aviation, infrastructure, artisans’ certification, property valuation, and constitutional reform.
Eight reports from the Committee on Health Institutions, chaired by Rep. Patrick Umoh, will also be presented, focusing on the establishment of new Federal Medical Centres and other health facilities across several states.
Three bills are listed for second reading, among them the Federal Medical Centres Act (Amendment) Bill for the establishment of new centres in Ehor, Edo State, and Onicha Igboeze, Ebonyi State, as well as the Births, Deaths, etc. (Compulsory Registration) Bill.
The House will also debate motions on the proposed Ibom Deep Seaport in Akwa Ibom State, national reorientation on identity management amid proposed U.S. travel restrictions, and transparent allocation of housing estates recovered by the EFCC.

In addition, the Report of the Committee on Science and Technology on the National Commission for Technology Transfer, Acquisition, and Promotion Bill is slated for consideration.
Committee meetings are also scheduled for the day, including sessions of the Committees on Rules and Business, Public Petitions, and the Ad-hoc Committee investigating the 2024/2025 recruitment exercise into the National Assembly Service Commission.
The Order Paper, the statement noted, serves as the official guide to the day’s proceedings and underscores the House’s dedication to structured deliberation and institutional accountability.
