Kaduna to host 2026 Nigeria Public Relations Week

Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, has officially approved Kaduna State’s hosting of the 3rd Nigeria Public Relations Week (NPRW) and the 63rd Annual General Meeting of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) scheduled for April 2026.

The Governor made the announcement during a meeting with the NIPR Governing Council at the Government House, Kaduna, on Sunday.

Senator Sani commended the Institute for its recent achievements, including the establishment of the Nigeria Reputation Management Group (NRMG) and securing the hosting rights for the World Public Relations Forum (WPRF).

He described the choice of Kaduna and the 2026 NPRW theme, “Food Security: From Policy Paper to Public Plate; The Imperatives of Public Relations,” as a recognition of the state’s ongoing transformation and commitment to development.

The Governor assured full government support, promising a strong partnership with the Institute to ensure a successful event with lasting impact.

In his remarks, NIPR President, Dr. Ike Neliaku, said the 2026 NPRW would serve as a prelude to the World Public Relations Forum, noting that the event will attract international participants, communication experts, and development partners.

Dr. Neliaku highlighted the potential economic and professional benefits of hosting the event, which is expected to draw over 2,000 delegates to Kaduna State.
