Imam Blesses Tinubu, Prays for Long Life and Prosperity

Professor Luqman Zakariyah, officiating Imam at the Matawalle children’s wedding, prayed for President Bola Tinubu’s health, long life, and successful tenure on Friday.

The Imam described President Tinubu as a “father of all” and asked Allah to make his presidency a source of hope for the hopeless.

President Tinubu attended the wedding at the National Mosque, Abuja, representing the Matawalle family, alongside other dignitaries and guests of honour.

The President of the Democratic Republic of São Tomé and Príncipe, Carlos Manuel Vila Nova, also graced the solemnisation ceremony.

Minister of State for Defence Mohammed Bello Matawalle gave out five daughters and five sons in marriage during the multiple Fatiha solemnisation.

The brides included Maryam, Safiyya, Farida, Nana Firdausi, and Aisha, while the grooms included Ibrahim, Abdul Jalal, Surajo, Bello, and Fahad.

President Tinubu received the newlywed brides on behalf of the Matawalle family and joined in celebrating the union of the couples.

Prof. Zakariyah also prayed for the success of the marriages, blessing the couples, their parents, and grandparents with long life and prosperity.

State Governors, National Assembly members, Federal Executive Council members, Service Chiefs, diplomats, traditional rulers, and religious leaders witnessed the ceremony.

The Imam’s prayers highlighted the national significance of the event, connecting family celebrations with hopes for leadership that inspires and uplifts society.
