A chieftain of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Engr. Buba Galadima has declared that he feels no sympathy for Nigerians who supported the formation of the All Progressives Congress (APC), stating that he had warned citizens about the likely consequences.

Galadima, who was among the political figures involved in the discussions that led to the creation of the APC ahead of the 2015 general elections, said he foresaw the challenges that would follow and publicly distanced himself from the movement before it fully consolidated power.

“I was a signatory to the formation of the APC, but when I got out and told the people what would happen to them if they chose these people… that is why I have no empathy for anybody,” he said.

The outspoken politician explained that his opposition to the party stemmed from his concerns about leadership direction and governance outcomes. According to him, his decision to part ways with the APC was based on principle and foresight rather than political convenience.

Galadima has remained a vocal critic of the ruling party over the years, often commenting on national issues including governance, economic management, and democratic accountability. His latest remarks are likely to spark renewed debate within political circles, especially as Nigeria continues to navigate economic and social challenges.

Political observers say the statement reflects the deep divisions that have persisted among founding members of the APC and highlights the shifting alliances that have shaped Nigeria’s political landscape over the past decade.

As reactions to his comments trail, attention is expected to focus on how opposition parties like the NNPP position themselves in the evolving political climate.
