Dr. Hakeem Baba-Ahmed has raised concerns over renewed attacks by Boko Haram, describing the killings during the holy month of Ramadan as heartbreaking.
Speaking to newsmen, Baba-Ahmed said the violence in parts of northern Nigeria is deeply troubling.
“This month of Ramadan should bring peace and reflection,” he said. “Yet we continue to see bloodshed.”
He said the attacks show the urgent need for stronger security measures. According to him, authorities must take decisive action to protect civilians and restore stability in affected communities.

Baba-Ahmed also urged leaders and security agencies to intensify efforts against insurgency. He stressed that innocent citizens should not live in fear during a sacred period devoted to worship and unity.
In recent weeks, insurgents have carried out attacks in several northern communities. The incidents have raised fresh concerns among residents and security analysts.
