In a visit that highlighted unity and post-Eid solidarity, Governors across Nigeria on Sunday paid a traditional Sallah homage to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Lagos, discusses the current security situation in Borno state

The delegation was led by Borno State Governor Babagana Umara Zulum.

Zulum said he updated Tinubu on recent developments in Borno, following his on-the-spot assessment in Maiduguri. The visit allowed him to engage directly with families and communities affected by recent tragic incidents.

He stressed the need for continued federal support to address security challenges and strengthen efforts to restore peace in the North-East.

The Sallah homage, a tradition observed during Eid celebrations, also gave governors the chance to reaffirm their commitment to working with the federal government to tackle insecurity and promote national development.

President Tinubu, while receiving the governors, is expected to emphasize his administration’s resolve to protect lives and property across the country.

The meeting comes amid renewed concerns about security in parts of Borno, prompting calls for urgent, coordinated action from both state and federal authorities.
