Chairing the conference and delivering the keynote address, Governor Sani described the recognition as “both humbling and deeply fulfilling,” noting that the forum provided an opportunity to share Kaduna’s transport transformation journey and engage with experts on improving mobility across Nigeria.
The event was attended by key stakeholders including the Minister of Transportation, Senator Said Ahmed Alkali; the Minister of Livestock Development, Alhaji Mukhtar Maiha; and CIoTA President, Prince Segun Obayendo, who commended Kaduna State’s progress in modernising its transport system.

He expressed appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for approving Kaduna’s Light Rail development and to Minister Alkali for his partnership, reaffirming the state’s dedication to building a modern, inclusive, and sustainable transport system that drives economic growth and improves citizens’ lives.
