Governor Inspects Attack Site

Governor Dikko Umaru  Raddah visited a community in Sayaya local government Matazu Katsina State,hit by violent attacks to assess the damage firsthand.

Heavy security surrounded the official as he toured the area on April 5, 2026.

The governor arrived in a convoy of black SUVs. Upon reaching the scene, he found burnt vehicles still smoldering on the roadside. Thick smoke rose from the wreckage of cars destroyed in the violence.

Armed police officers and soldiers secured the area during the visit. The governor walked through the community, inspecting damaged buildings and property. He stopped to speak with residents who gathered to meet him.

Eyewitnesses say the governor looked deeply concerned as he viewed the destruction. He examined a burnt car closely and walked past damaged structures with soot-stained walls.

The visit comes after suspected bandits attacked the community, leaving destruction in their wake.

Security forces have since deployed to the area to prevent further violence.

The governor promised residents that his administration will take action.

He assured them that security agencies will step up protection for the community.

Local officials and security chiefs joined the governor on the tour.

The team moved through the village, taking notes and speaking with community leaders about the incident.

The attack has left many residents fearful. However, the governor’s visit has brought some hope that the government will respond to their plight.
