Sokoto State Governor Ahmed Aliyu has approved the early payment of February salaries for civil servants, local government workers, education staff, and pensioners.
The payments will begin on Friday, February 13, 2026, giving workers time to prepare for Ramadan.
Governor Aliyu said the early payment is to help workers start the fasting period without financial stress. He also asked them to remain dedicated, punctual, and committed in their work.
The government said this move shows its commitment to an efficient and productive civil service in Sokoto State.
Many workers have welcomed the decision, calling it timely support ahead of Ramadan.
