Former Kano Finance Commissioner, Dies at AKTH

Professor Kabir Isa Dandago, a renowned scholar and former Kano State Commissioner of Finance, has died.

He passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at the Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital.

Dandago was a respected Professor of Accounting and Taxation and contributed significantly to academic and public service in Nigeria.

He previously served as Commissioner of Finance in Kano State, where he played a key role in the state’s financial administration.

In a statement announcing his death, the management, staff, and students of his institution expressed deep sympathy to his family.

They described him as a dedicated academic and public servant whose contributions to education and governance would be remembered.

Prayers were offered for Almighty Allah to grant him mercy and forgive his shortcomings.
