The Federal Government has introduced a Single Window Trade Facilitation Portal designed to serve as a central digital platform for all import and export activities in Nigeria.

The new system, championed by the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment, will act as a one-stop shop for international trade, allowing importers and exporters to submit required documents, obtain necessary permits, and comply with regulations through a single interface rather than engaging multiple agencies.

According to the Ministry, the Single Window will simplify documentation procedures, accelerate customs clearance, reduce bureaucratic delays, and enhance transparency in trade transactions.

The initiative is also expected to improve operational efficiency and strengthen Nigeria’s global trade competitiveness.

Officials say the project aligns with the Federal Government’s ongoing drive to leverage technology and policy reforms to accelerate economic transformation and position Nigeria as a leading trade hub in Africa.
