Nollywood icon Fathia Balogun, also known as Faithia Williams, has finally dropped the highly anticipated official trailer for her latest passion project, Efunroye: The Unicorn.

The cinematic teaser, released across YouTube, Instagram, and X this week, promises a gripping historical drama set in pre-colonial Lagos.

Star-Studded Cast and Production

Balogun stars as the titular Efunroye, a formidable merchant, legend, and kingmaker whose influence shaped an era before Lagos rose as an empire.

The ensemble boasts Nollywood heavyweights including Odunlade Adekola, Ibrahim Chatta, Saheed Balogun, Mercy Aigbe, Femi Branch, and Kolawole Ajeyemi.

Directed by Tope Adebayo Salami, Adebayo Tijani, and Abbey Lanre, the film is produced by Balogun herself.

Executive producers include Niyi Akinmolayan and Kemi Anibaba, signaling top-tier production values for a nationwide cinema rollout on May 1, 2026.
