Muslims across Nigeria and beyond gathered to celebrate Eid, marking the end of Ramadan.
The atmosphere reflected joy, unity, and deep gratitude as Worshippers offered prayers and praised Allah for the strength to complete the fast.
An Imam the Federal Fire Service Eid Ground at Ungwan Dosa, Kaduna reminded Muslims that Eid is a day of thanksgiving. He urged them to glorify Allah and reflect on His blessings. He said the celebration should strengthen faith, not weaken it.
The Imam stressed that fasting in Ramadan builds discipline and strengthens faith. He explained that the act brings believers closer to Allah. He also noted that Ramadan teaches patience, sacrifice, and obedience.
He urged Muslims to hold on to these lessons. According to him, the end of Ramadan should not mark the end of devotion.
The Imam called on Muslims to avoid sinful acts. He urged them to fear Allah in all aspects of life. He also encouraged them to follow the teachings of Islam at all times.
He warned that true faith reflects in daily actions. He asked worshippers to remain upright and sincere in their conduct.
Continue Worship Beyond Ramadan
The Imam encouraged Muslims to increase acts of worship after Ramadan. He mentioned prayer, charity, and remembrance of Allah as key acts. He said consistency in worship shows true commitment.
He added that one sign of accepted Ibadah is continuity. According to him, those who continue good deeds show that Allah has accepted their efforts.
Unity, Support, and Forgiveness
The Imam urged Muslims to help one another. He encouraged them to support their brothers and sisters in faith. He also called on them to seek Allah’s forgiveness regularly.
He said acts of kindness and unity strengthen the Muslim community. He reminded worshippers that Allah loves those who forgive and care for others.
The Call for Sincere Repentance
The sermon also focused on sincere repentance. The Imam said Allah is Most Merciful and forgives those who return to Him. He urged Muslims to repent with honesty and humility.
