Eid: Abba Urges Peaceful Celebrations in Kano

Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf, has felicitated with Muslims on the occasion of Eid-el-Fitr, describing the festival as a time for gratitude, reflection, and renewed commitment to the values of faith, unity, and compassion demonstrated during the Ramadan period.

In a statement issued by his spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the governor extended warm greetings to the Muslim faithful and commended them for their devotion and sacrifices throughout the holy month.

Governor Yusuf called on residents of the state to celebrate the Sallah festivities in a peaceful and orderly manner, urging them to avoid any actions that could threaten the peace and stability of Kano State.

He emphasized the need to sustain the spirit of tolerance, mutual respect, and peaceful coexistence among citizens, regardless of their differences, noting that unity remains key to the state’s progress.

The governor further urged parents and guardians to guide their children and wards to be law-abiding and to conduct themselves responsibly during the celebrations.

He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to maintaining peace and ensuring the safety of all residents before, during, and after the festive period.
