According to the court order, investigators are permitted to conduct inspection, forensic examination and forensic extraction of data from the devices.

The order also allows the commission to analyse information recovered from the devices as part of its ongoing investigation.

Items listed in the court documents include multiple storage devices, mobile phones and computers.

The court authorised investigators to extract and analyse public documents, WhatsApp conversations, text messages, call logs, images and other digital information stored on the devices.

Justice Abdulmalik ruled that the forensic examination is necessary to aid the commission’s ongoing investigation.
