Mohammed Bello El-Rufai has reaffirmed his support for former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, after a court adjourned his case to April 14, 2026.

Bello El-Rufai spoke to journalists after proceedings at the Kaduna State High Court on Wednesday. He described the former governor as a leader with a strong record of public service and administrative excellence.

He praised El-Rufai’s role at the Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE), his tenure as Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, and his time as governor. He said the former governor laid the foundation for what he called “modern Kaduna.”

“We stand with Mallam in solidarity. We are proud of his service and administrative record,” he said.

The lawmaker also addressed recent security challenges. He commiserated with victims of attacks in Jos and Maiduguri.

He prayed for those who lost their lives. He urged leaders at all levels to prioritise safety and improve the socio-economic wellbeing of citizens.

“May Almighty God bless their souls and guide leaders to focus on the safety and development of our people,” he added.

The court will resume hearing the case on April 14 as proceedings continue.
