Comptroller Edelduok Reaffirms Customs’ Integrity Drive to Partnership

The Customs Area Controller of the Kirikiri Lighter Terminal Command, Comptroller Joy Edelduok, has reiterated the Nigeria Customs Service’s (NCS) commitment to integrity, transparency, and inter-agency cooperation.

During a courtesy visit to the Lagos Office of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, Comptroller Edelduok underscored the importance of collaboration in promoting ethical conduct among officers.

“Integrity remains a core value of the Nigeria Customs Service under the leadership of the Comptroller-General, Adewale Adeniyi. The Command is committed to working closely with the ICPC to strengthen anti-corruption mechanisms within the Service,” she stated.

The Resident Anti-Corruption Commissioner, Alexander Chukwurah, who received the delegation, commended the Customs’ proactive approach and assured continued partnership in advancing integrity in public service.

In a related development, Comptroller Edelduok also received the Assistant Comptroller-General of the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS), Agboje Jude, who paid a courtesy visit to deepen cooperation between both agencies.

Welcoming the delegation, Comptroller Edelduok described the engagement as a “reflection of mutual respect and shared commitment to national security, discipline, and transparency in public service.”

She reaffirmed her Command’s alignment with the CGC’s vision of professionalism and collaboration across all Customs operations.

In his remarks, ACG Jude lauded Comptroller Edelduok’s leadership and the discipline demonstrated by officers of the Kirikiri Lighter Terminal Command, pledging the NCoS’s continued cooperation with the NCS toward achieving national objectives.
