The countdown to African football’s biggest celebration has officially begun, as the Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced on Friday that the 2025 CAF Awards ceremony will take place in Rabat, Morocco, on Wednesday, November 19.
The prestigious event, scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m., will honour the finest players, coaches, and teams across the continent, a night where Africa’s football excellence takes centre stage.
This year’s nominations feature a strong Nigerian presence, with stars such as Victor Osimhen, Stanley Nwabali, Rasheedat Ajibade, Esther Okoronkwo, and Chiamaka Nnadozie all vying for top honours.
CAF President Patrice Motsepe and leading football dignitaries from within and outside Africa are expected to attend the glittering ceremony.
Last year’s winners, Ademola Lookman of Nigeria and Barbra Banda of Zambia, will be looking to see who succeeds them as Africa’s best male and female players in what promises to be another unforgettable night for African football.
