The Confederation of African Football Appeal Board has officially awarded the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations title to Morocco national football team.

The ruling follows a decision declaring the Senegal national football team to have forfeited the AFCON 2025 final match.

CAF said the decision was made under Articles 82 and 84 of the Africa Cup of Nations regulations.

According to the ruling, the final match result is officially recorded as 3–0 in favour of Morocco.

The appeal was filed by the Fédération Royale Marocaine de Football.

CAF stated that the conduct of the Senegal team breached AFCON competition regulations.

The appeal board therefore set aside the earlier decision of the CAF Disciplinary Board.

As a result, Senegal was declared to have forfeited the final match of the tournament.

The ruling also addressed several disciplinary matters related to the match.

Morocco midfielder Ismaël Saibari was found guilty of misconduct during the final.

However, his sanction was reduced to a two-match suspension, with one match suspended.

CAF also removed a previously imposed fine of $100,000 against the player.

The Moroccan football federation was fined $50,000 for misconduct involving ball boys during the match.

CAF also upheld a $100,000 fine related to interference around the VAR review area.

Another fine of $10,000 was imposed over a laser incident during the game.
