The Customs Area Controller of Port Harcourt Area I Command, Comptroller Salamatu Atuluku, has outlined discipline and reputational management as key priorities for 2026.
She spoke during the Command’s first parade of the year at its headquarters in Port Harcourt.
Atuluku described discipline, punctuality and strict adherence to procedures as essential to effective service delivery.
She urged officers to respect the chain of command and demonstrate integrity in their duties.

According to her, operational success depends on accountability, professionalism and ethical conduct.
She stressed that the image of the Nigeria Customs Service is shaped by officers’ daily actions.
The Comptroller aligned her remarks with the reform agenda of Comptroller-General Adewale Adeniyi.
Deputy Comptroller Abubakar Nadama also reminded officers that safeguarding the Service’s reputation is a collective responsibility.
The parade featured awards for officers recognised for diligence and exemplary commitment to duty.
Recipients included DC Abubakar Nadama, DC Tivfa Antom, ASC II Princewill Nmezi and CA III Promise Mbah.
