Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, on Thursday paid a condolence visit to former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, at his residence in Abuja.

He led a delegation to sympathise with the family following the death of El-Rufai’s mother, Hajiya Umma El-Rufai, describing the loss as deeply painful and irreplaceable.

During the visit, Atiku Abubakar expressed solidarity with the El-Rufai family and shared in their grief.

He noted that losing a mother is a profound experience and emphasised the importance of standing together during such difficult moments.

In addition, Atiku said prayers for the repose of the soul of Hajiya Umma El-Rufai, asking God to grant her eternal rest.

He also prayed for strength and comfort for the family as they navigate the period of mourning.

Atiku observed that Nasir El-Rufai remained strong despite the loss.

According to him, the former governor showed resilience and faith, maintaining a composed spirit rather than appearing downcast.

Furthermore, Atiku encouraged El-Rufai to remain steadfast in faith.

He reassured him that, with time, the pain would ease, adding that such trials require patience and spiritual strength.

The former Vice President concluded by praying that the late Hajiya Umma El-Rufai would be granted a place in paradise.
