An aide to Nafiu Bala-Gombe has alleged that claims of his resignation from the African Democratic Congress (ADC) are based on a doctored document.
Dr. Abimiku Monday, Special Adviser on Strategic Communications, made the allegation while reacting to reports that Bala-Gombe had resigned from the party.
He claimed the resignation letter was fabricated, signed, and backdated to create a false narrative.
According to him, the document indicated a resignation date of May 17, 2025.

Monday said the inconsistencies raise serious concerns about the authenticity of the claim.
The allegation adds a new dimension to the ongoing leadership dispute within the ADC.
The party has been grappling with internal divisions over its National Working Committee.
The controversy continues to draw attention as political tensions rise ahead of the 2027 general elections.
