The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has announced plans to expand its political engagement beyond Nigeria by establishing a global network of representatives.

The initiative, described as a “Special Representatives Network,” is aimed at engaging foreign and international stakeholders on Nigeria’s political developments.

According to the party, the network will operate across key global capitals, including Washington DC, London, Brussels, and Addis Ababa.

The goal is to amplify what the party describes as credible information about Nigeria’s political environment.

It cited concerns over alleged attacks on its members, leadership disputes, and restrictions on political participation ahead of the 2027 general elections.

As part of the broader strategy, ADC announced the launch of a National Documentation Initiative.

The project will track and report incidents affecting political participation across the country.

The development signals a shift toward internationalising Nigeria’s political discourse.

ADC stated that democracy in Nigeria must be “seen, heard, and defended everywhere.”

The move comes amid rising political tensions and increased scrutiny of electoral processes ahead of the 2027 elections.
