The Chairman of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), Professor Abdullahi Saleh Usman, has inaugurated a 10-member team to coordinate Nigeria’s activities on the Saudi Arabian digital portal, Nusuk Masar, ahead of the 2026 Hajj.

The inauguration took place at the Commission’s office in Makkah.

The Nusuk Masar platform will handle core operational processes for the 2026 pilgrimage, including pilgrim registration, visa processing, accommodation, feeding arrangements, Masha’ir services contracts, and flight data management. The newly inaugurated team will serve as Nigeria’s direct interface with the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah on all platform-related matters.

Speaking during the ceremony, Professor Usman said the team’s work is central to Nigeria’s overall preparation for the exercise. He stressed that pilgrims expect timely and accurate services, adding that efficiency on the platform will be as critical as the performance of airlines and service providers during the Hajj.

“You must maintain clarity and speed in all assigned tasks. The experience of every pilgrim will depend on the efficiency of the system under your supervision,” he said.

Commissioner for Policy, Personnel Management and Finance (PPMF), Prince Aliyu Abdulrazaq, urged the team to execute its responsibilities with transparency and accountability, noting that the trust placed in them must reflect in every decision taken.

Responding on behalf of the team, Dr. Haruna Danbaba assured the Commission of full compliance with timelines set by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, emphasising that the schedule leaves no room for delay.

The inauguration marks a significant step in early preparations for the 2026 Hajj, with implementation activities expected to commence immediately.
